Lizzie Patterson

Lizzie is our yard manager and we would be lost without her. She has the hardest job on the yard (including keeping me on the straight and narrow) yet does everything with a smile and her professional outlook is greatly valued.

She has been part of TCE for over 13 years now. She started working with us on a part time basis when at school before becoming a full time member of the team in 2018.

Holly richardson

Holly is our team rider. She has a vast amount of experience and you will either find her working with the younger horses or preparing and training our team of eventers.

Currently eventing at 4* level, Holly spent her early career riding for Karen Dixon and learning the ropes. She rode for us some years ago before heading to uni to do her masters. Luckily for us she returned in 2017 when I was out of action with a broken ankle. She now rides our event horses as well as breaking in all of the young horses. There’s no one I would rather have on our team.

Paddy and Mike - Mum and dad

They are the reason that I get to do what I love every day of my life….

They both rode when they were younger but definitely did not get the bug like me! Mum is the glue that holds the operation together, she’s amazing, she’s also expert cake baker for coffee and cake club and an integral part of camp running. I couldn’t do it without her. Dad although still farming is my number 1 supporter, he is all of the horses favourite person as he is also known as the treat man!! Always with a pocket of treats, carrots or pony cubes. We always know he can catch a horse for us if we are struggling!! I’m so grateful to him for letting me invade his ‘farm’ back in 2009. They really have helped my dreams come true!
