It all started when…

Now 32, Melissa began riding at the age of 2 on a pony belonging to her Aunt. She was bitten by the horse bug and has been riding ever since. Whilst a pupil at Queen Mary's School, she began to ride seriously and, from the age of 12, competed at local shows and events. Her passion for eventing took hold at the age of 15 when she completed her first affiliated Pre-Novice event on her first horse Sir Montague. Together they achieved a double clear. Her second horse (Gemsbrook) was soon added to the team and together they achieved many placings at this level and novice.

After graduating from Queen Mary's, Melissa decided that she wanted to pursue a professional equestrian career. Her first step was to take up a position with a local eventing yard, whilst establishing herself as a freelance instructor. In 2006 she decided to go it alone and has since run her own yard, which is now situated on family land.

2008/09 saw some changes in her career and she moved into pure dressage. Her commitment to the horses, their care, training and competition is second to none, her results prove that her system works with many wins across the disciplines.
